About this chapter
What this chapter covers
FusionAccess: Service Provisioning is 17% of the Huawei HCIA-Cloud Computing H13-511 exam, one of its largest chapters. It covers how a template VM is built and encapsulated, how it becomes a full copy or linked clone template, and how VMs are created from it and given to users through desktop groups.
Questions are single-answer, multiple-answer without a stated count, true/false, drag and drop and typed fill-in-the-blank, often "Which of the following statements is true?". This exam has no exhibit figures. In this chapter they often ask for the order of steps, or compare full copy with linked clone and static with dynamic pools.
It has 3 outline topics, and three pages cover them, one each.
How the topics fit together
Service encapsulation prepares a clean, generalized VM. Template creation turns it into the right template type, and desktop provisioning creates VMs from the template and assigns them to users.
A mistake early in the chain shows up at the end. A template that was not encapsulated or misses the HDA produces desktops that fail to join the domain or never register.
Tie the desktop types together: full copy desktops are independent and usually go to dedicated users, while linked clone desktops share a base disk and usually go into static or dynamic pools.
How to use these pages
Each topic page has the same shape, so you can skim for what you need.
- What it is: the idea in plain words.
- How it works: the mechanism, with tables and examples.
- What to remember for the exam: the facts to memorize.
- Common mistakes: the classic traps.
- Check yourself: three questions to test your understanding.
For each comparison table, cover one column and recall it before reading. The exam often describes a business need and asks which desktop type or pool fits.
