About this chapter
What this chapter covers
Secure, Monitor, and Troubleshoot Azure Solutions is 20 to 25% of the AI-200 exam. It has two skill groups: implementing secure Azure solutions, and monitoring and troubleshooting Azure solutions.
For a developer this means keeping secrets and settings out of code, and being able to see what a distributed AI back end is doing: following one request across services and querying logs and metrics when something goes wrong.
How the topics fit together
Apps sign in with managed identities to read secrets from Key Vault and settings from App Configuration. OpenTelemetry sends traces, metrics and logs to Azure Monitor, where KQL queries find the cause of problems.
When a question says "no secrets in code or configuration files", think managed identity plus Key Vault.
